Hello everyone
All users who tried to convert more than 10 files the last few days recognized that there is a new limit (10 conversions per day). I got many emails .. of course none of them very positive. Listen ... this website has no ads at all. It has probably the most features of all conversion websites. So many users use this website several times a day. They stress my servers a lot ;) and the users who just want to convert 1 - 5 files a day suffer from these few people.
First I wanted to set a lower limit like one between 5 and 10 conversions per day but this is really too low.
I want to make these people pay for this service. So I can improve it more. The income of the premium service almost cover the costs of the whole service but it still doesn't.
Now some questions to all of you:
- Is the premium service too expensive?
- Would you pay for it if it only costs 5$ per month (without online storage and no increased file size limit)?
- Ugly ads or a clean website monetized by the users who use this service a lot?

I agree with your 10 item limit, though I hope you don't lower it from 10 because often my conversions are ruined by my internet connection (or perhaps the overloaded servers) and I have to restart which could limit me to only 1 or 2 a day if you lowered it.
I for one am not interested in the premium service simply because I use this site to convert youtube video clips to a usable format that I can create videos out of simply for fun as it is a hobby of mine. I would feel rather silly spending money for that.
However I would not mind having ads on this site, though it looks lovely without them, I believe anyone who uses the internet is nearly impervious to them by now and it will not be as awful as it sounds. It could be to your benefit as well as all your users and I think you should consider it.

I just discovered this website two days ago, and I think it is wonderful! Despite how I came at a pretty bad time. You know, with the conversion limit, abuse, overload, ect. And of course I'm using this to obtain stuff off of YouTube to make videos out of them all myself, like Frankenstein. So is there any way I can just donate to the site?
Signing up as a premium user is almost the same as donating money and you won't have a conversion limit anymore.

I think 5$ a month is okay but I haven't done any donations or subscriptions online in my entire life but with your site, I might coz I really liked your service. Can I pay through bank draft instead? But fee of 50$ in 3 months wouldn't cut it for me. Just 5$ with no online storage will do for me.
I hope that you will get advertisements and i mean more advertisements, so that you could continue doing what you do and probably opt to make the site just free…
First I would like to thank you for this awesome service! I went through a couple of other websites, but I definitely prefer this one over those. And not only for the great conversion options offered, but also because the look and feel of the website is great. ;-)
I would definitely be ready to pay 5EUR a month for this service. I would not need any extra storage, or to have a change in the size limit, as most of of the files I convert are under 100 MB anyways.

Yes, the Premium service is WAY to Expensive! $1-5 a Month sounds healthy!
Yeah ok so maybe there is some sort of glitch because I haven't been around here for about two weeks now and no one else uses this computer so just in case there is something I missed I just wanted to let you know
I would go for the year but I just dropped from my bank and I have nothing in my paypal account it will be awhile before you hear from a membership but I know that I will in time. Nice limit though I bet there were a few hundred pissed off people haha
****I meant to add something about the glitch: I haven't been around your site for about two weeks, and there is this big sign saying you have reached your limit.

This is the best converter on the Net but some people will go on other converters if they cannot convert more than 10/day.And we see so much adds every day, 5 more we don't really care;) Continue the good work.Hope that we will never have to pay for that service;)

It's great how you set a limit for only 10 conversions a day but, I've been trying to convert a youtube video and it didn't want to convert. I'm not complaining about that though, cause I don't mind retrying a few times.
Thing is, when I tried again, it said I've reached the conversion limit, yet I didn't convert anything at all.
Shouldn't there be a loop hole for that, especially since now I have to wait until tomorrow to convert something, when I didn't have a chance to convert anything at all?
well... i didet convert anything today and it wont let me covert, and i have a greaT idea for a youtbe video...

I tried to download a bunch of stuff yesterday so i didn't end up doing it all today, thus not stressing your servers ask requested. I waited about 40-50 min for each download and none of them worked. Now this morning it's not even letting me try to download stuff!
I think your site is great and it really helps me out. It just seems to have gotten a bit mean of late.
I don't think anyone would mind a few adverts if it helps the site run better.
I love this website, no ads! But, would there be anyway outputting .mp3 files from YouTube can be in Stereo instead of Mono?

Personally, Pascal, I could care less if this site were plastered with ads. As long as there are no dirty ads or popups, I'll keep coming back to use the service.

I wouldn't. Because I don't feel that I would have to. I mean, if you got rid of the free service, there goes a helluva lot of your traffic that is making you some money through ads. If it came down to it, I would go to another service. There are more than one service like this one. None of the others are nearly as awesome, but still...

Ugly ads. Hell, have a full page ad when you come here that redirects you to the main page. I couldn't give a crud. I'm sure others won't care either.
I personally cannot afford anything CLOSE to the $150/yr.
I LOVE this site - I've loved it ever since I found it many months ago. I don't do convert anything close on the 10 files a day limit - I probably don't even do that a month! I used to convert a lot more than I do now, but I haven't had as much time to download videos recently.
I would LOVE to help out if I could, but sadly I just can't right now... I would love nothing more than to get a premium account on this site, and hopefully later this year, I will be able to, but considering that I used to use this site when it was completely free, seeing $150 was a BIG shock!
Me, I would be happy with NO online storage. If I'm converting/downloading something, I put it straight onto my HDD or else I forget about it. I'm lucky enough to have a reasonably sized harddrive to save lots of unnecesary but enjoyable stuff onto but most people I know download direct onto their harddives no matter how much space they've got.
I like the added portals, although the only one out of the extras that I ever download from is Myspace vids. Given I only download/convert things for enjoyment, I don't really need the extra quality, but I can appreciate the difference and I'm sure there's others who do need it.
I think maybe if you had a donation function like you did on the old site wouldn't go astray - I know I have times where I do have a bit of extra cash, but no videos to convert and I'd happily donate to keep something like this going even if I didn't have to use it. I don't know if it costs you anything to have that as a feature on your site, but surely it can't hurt to have that option for people who don't really need a premium account but still want to help?
Whilst sites without ads are much nicer than those with, ads are necessary evil in today's world, and provided they didn't take over the whole thing, I'm sure most people would understand if you had to have some.
As so many others have said, thank you so much for having this site running, despite the cost to yourself - it's one of the most amazing resources on the net!
LISTEN TO HIM PPL. this is a free service for most of us, and he can't have it being overloaded just cos a few ppl need to do 10-a-day. Also i think $5 a month wood be good and NO WE DNT WANT ADDS!
i randomly came across this youtube video remix recently, and cudnt find the mp3 file. then i came across this website and was sooo happy that it worked!!!! i thank you so much ^___^
This is one of the best media converters on the web. I've been using it for over a year and i love it!!!! But $5 a month is a little much. It would be best if you where to put another option in like unlimited conversions a day but no storage or online file management. Something like $1-3 a month sounds fair.
