Hello everyone
Mediaconverter.org is growing more and more. The Firefox extension helped to increase the daily user amount to ~35000. I still don't see an end of this process so I ordered once more a new server for this service. This time the server will replace the main server where the website is running (not a conversion server). So this means there will be an interrupt where you won't be able or only partially to access the website.
I'll keep you informed with further blog posts about the exact date/time when I will move the website.
As the most users here on mediaconverter.org are from America and my servers are in Europe many people complained about bad download rates or the website didn't load. These is just because of the distance to the server. Here in Europe the service is very very fast. So I changed the provider to a bigger and more professional provider which has better connections to some internet backbones. I hope you will recognize the difference.

There are no ads at all as you can see ;) I want to keep this website free of any ads.
At the moment the subscriptions just cover the costs.

Could you develop a way of also removing DRM whe you convert someting???

Does this site let me upload high quality vids off YouTube, i.e. URLs ending with things like &fmt=18 ? I tried it but it came out all standard quality, not high quality :/

Since I've heard about all these great additions, I decided to get a premium account for all your hard work and will keep extending it, since I convert alot of files from youtube and when I compared a video converted free to a video with the premium, the quality was AMAZING!!!!!! You are a true genius. Ok, there are a number of people like yourself who can set up websites which do complicated tasks but I call you a genius because you have made so many people happy! I noticed that in a reply to another post you said you are trying to keep the site ad-free. It could earn you lots more money if you allow advertising! Still, you know best. You managed to do something great and I wish the best of luck to you and you site's future!
